Anat Segal, CEO, Xenia venture capital
Anat Segal has over 18 years of experience in corporate finance and strategic business development. Ms. Segal specializes in strategic and financial business planning, business development and raising capital, including public offerings, venture capital financing, and mergers and acquisitions - with a strong focus on high-tech companies in various stages of development.
Prior to the initiation of Xenia, Ms. Segal ran her independent advisory and investment banking boutique, which has accumulated a portfolio of over 20 leading clients. Prior to that Ms. Segal was Managing Director and Head of Corporate Finance at Tamir Fishman & Co., the then Israeli strategic affiliate of Hambrecht & Quist (which later merged with Chase JP Morgan). Prior to that Anat was VP Investment Banking at Robertson Stephens/Evergreen, the Israeli practice of Robertson Stephens & Co (joint venture with Evergreen Capital Fund). Before Joining Evergreen Ms. Segal worked for the Bank Hapoalim Group International Division and for its Investment Banking arm, Poalim Capital Markets.
Ms. Segal serves on the board of directors, of Attunity (NASDAQ: ATTU) Orad, (London & Frankfurt) and Priortech (TASE).
Ms. Segal holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics and Management, an MBA in Finance, and an L.L.B. - all from the Tel Aviv University.
Yechiel Kurtz, VP biz dev, Xenia venture capital
Yechiel has over 19 years of experience in the high tech industry, combining both operational and investment experience with top tier companies in Israel and the US.
For the past two years, Yechiel has been actively involved in start-up companies as a private investor and active director, and has led one of them towards a highly profitable M&A exit transaction. Prior to becoming a private investor, Yechiel held the position of a Principal at Apax Partners Israel Ltd. (2000 - 2005), with an investment focus in the areas of Telecom/Datacom and IT.
Prior to joining Apax Partners, Yechiel was a co-founder of Nbase-Xyplex (the system division of MRV Communications, California, US; NASDAQ MRVC), and held the position of Vice President of Business Development with their International Division. Prior to that, Yechiel was an engineer and development team leader at Fibronics, an Israeli company that pioneered the development of high speed networks.
Yechiel holds a joint International Executive MBA degree from Northwestern University and Tel Aviv University (Kellogg-Recanati program), and a BScEE cum laude from the Technion Institute of Technology in Haifa
Shai Wolkomir, CEO, ConTrust
Shai has gained extensive experience in the security and technology arena. Prior to founding ConTrust, Shai spent time at Checkpoint Software Technologies Ltd., a NASDAQ listed company specializing in Internet security. In addition, Shai was a freelance security consultant, product manager and research team leader at RSA Security, the security division of EMC and a provider of security solutions for business acceleration. Shai is a faculty member with the computer science department at Michlala Le'Minhal at Rishon Le'Zion ( www.colman.ac.il ) and the academic college of TLV ( www.mta.ac.il ).
Shai served five years in the Israeli Defence Force as an officer in the military police criminal investigations.
Shai has a B.Sc. in Computer Science and an M.B.A. from IDC, Herzliya.
Nir Abraham,
CTO , ConTrust
Nir brings extensive experience in software development having held various development, technological and management positions in software companies such as IAI (Elta), one of Israel’s leading Defense Electronics companies and a global leader in a variety of areas, Horizon and Ness Technologies, a NASDAQ listed company that provides end-to-end IT services and solutions designed to help clients improve competitiveness and efficiency.
Nir served six years in the Israeli Defence Force as an officer in the Intelligence Corps.
Nir obtained a B.Sc. in Computer Science and an M.B.A. from IDC, Herzliya.
